Since we've recently found the Maine landscape covered in a mid-April snow, I thought it was about time to come out with this beautiful beach wedding photography!
I teamed up with Silviyana, an eco-friendly bridal boutique serving Washington, California, and the rest of the states throughout their Dress Box service! She sent me two beautiful gowns from Rania Hatoum that are made with a pineapple silk and custom embroidery for Silviyana's line. The first gown was strapless and a-line, and the other was sleeveless with a deep V and a beautiful, flowing skirt with a bit of a train.
Silviyana hand-picks eco friendly designers so you can easily find beautiful and sustainable fashion. Check out the Dress Box options, you can try them on at home and find your dream gown. Who knows, maybe these images will help you fall in love with one of them!
Market Square Jewelers is one of my favorite places in Maine to get eco-friendly vintage jewelry. For this look, we chose bright blue gemstones that played perfectly off of the beige sand and blue waters. We went with warm yellow gold, which is a classic look that will never go out of style. If you're looking for wedding jewelry that's fun and unique and sustainable, go vintage! Check out our Plastic Free Wedding Program Guide which will help you plan an eco-friendly wedding from the details to the execution.
This incredible bouquet was made by Lindsay from Eldebery Flowers, an eco-friendly florist in Maine. Not only does she design incredible bouquets, but she is a risk taker who is willing to make something out of the norm. For this shoot, we really wanted something raw and something that's seasonal in Maine in early March. If any of you know Maine in March, it's still covered in snow. Lindsay found grasses and wheats and combined them to make this perfectly wispy bouquet. Best thing about it, it can remain as table decor well past your wedding! If you're looking for a Maine and New England based florist who will create something new and bold for you, get in touch with Lindsay! She'll also make beautiful arrangements for your dining table or entryway ;) Check out this other incredible bouquet she made for a City Hall wedding in Portland, Maine.
Makeup was provided by Jessica Griffin, a local hair and makeup artist out of Falmouth, Maine. She did a light pink eye to add the perfect pop of color to the otherwise blue and beige color palette. The makeup was long lasting and stayed put throughout the whole session and looks stunning on the model! Jessica will come to you for your wedding hair and makeup, and she'll even teach you how to do your own makeup!
